What’s the Difference Between PRP and PRF?
Both PRP and PRF are derived from your own blood and used to stimulate healing. The difference lies in the preparation and concentration:
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is spun at a higher speed, separating plasma from red and white blood cells. It’s rich in platelets and growth factors and is commonly used for facial rejuvenation, hair restoration, and healing injuries.
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is spun more slowly, allowing more white blood cells, stem cells, and fibrin matrix to remain. This slower-release formula continues working long after injection, offering sustained regenerative benefits.
