What is a PDO threadlift?
A PDO threadlift is a minimally invasive approach to address facial wrinkles and minor skin laxity. This treatment uses PDO threads which are dissolvable surgical sutures – designed with polydioxanone, which is a common material used for closing open wounds as well as during cardiothoracic surgery; they are one of the safest substances to administer into the body. These threads are inserted by an expert MD/RN to desired areas to lift and contour. They illicit an effect on inflammation markers to increase collagen and tightening. Once the threads have dissolved on their own, you are left with your own improved collagen to lift and tighten which further improves the immediate results over the next 6 -12 months. You cannot feel the sutures or see them once you leave the office.
