Hormone Optimization
Aging doesn’t mean slowing down—it just means your body needs a little more support. That’s where bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) comes in. BHRT uses plant-based hormones that are molecularly identical to the ones your body naturally produces. That means better results, fewer side effects, and a safer path to feeling like you again.
When your hormones are in balance, everything else clicks into place—your energy, sleep, mood, metabolism, and even your sex drive.
Signs You May Benefit From Hormone Optimization
Low energy or motivation
Weight gain or muscle loss
Brain fog or mood swings
Poor sleep or low libido
Thinning hair or brittle nails
Cold intolerance
That “something’s off” feeling
And beyond daily symptoms, optimizing your hormones can help protect against age-related conditions like heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, and cognitive decline.
Designed for Your Body
We don’t do one-size-fits-all. At aNu, every BHRT plan is customized and medically supervised by our team of hormone optimization experts. We treat men and women facing hormonal shifts from menopause, andropause, lifestyle changes, chronic stress, or simply the passage of time.
Benefits may include:
Restored energy + improved mood
Sharper focus + deeper sleep
Boosted libido + sexual wellness
Stronger muscle tone + healthier skin
Lower risk of chronic illness
You deserve to feel strong, sharp, and connected—to yourself and the people you love. Let’s bring your hormones back into balance and your life back into full color.
What hormones are typically prescribed?
We use bio-identical hormones—not synthetics. That means the hormones we prescribe are molecularly identical to those your body naturally produces, making them safer, more effective, and better tolerated than traditional synthetic options.
While some conventional therapies use synthetic estrogens (like conjugated equine estrogens from pregnant horse urine) and synthetic progestins (like medroxyprogesterone acetate), these lab-altered hormones are not bio-identical and may disrupt your body’s natural rhythms—sometimes causing unwanted side effects.
We believe in working with your body, not against it. That’s why we only prescribe custom-compounded bio-identical estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone—delivered in the safest, most consistent ways possible, like pellet therapy, topical creams, or oral capsules, depending on your needs.
How are bio-identical estrogen, progesterone and testosterone produced?
Bio-identical hormones are identical to the human hormones and found in yams and soy. The hormones are extracted from the vegetables and processed by a compounding pharmacy into prescription form. The body accepts and metabolizes these hormones as if they had made them.
Why doesn’t my regular doctor prescribe bio-identical hormones?
Most doctors were taught to use pharmaceutical products. Bio-Identicals are not under brand names and are typically compounded. Your physician may not know about bio-identicals because they must be self educated.
What’s the truth about the risks of taking hormones?
The Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) is a study focused on synthetic estrogen (CEE) and progestin (MPA). There were different parts of the study. The part using CEE and MPA was discontinued before completion because an increased risk of breast cancer was detected in the early stages of the study. This was attributed to PROGESTIN. Unfortunately, the media mis-represented the study by stating ALL hormones are bad – this is WRONG. The culprits are progestin and estrogen (synthetic pharmaceuticals), NOT Progesterone and Estradiol (bio-identical).
Hormone Pellet Therapy – The History
Hormone pellets were first developed in Europe in the 1930s and introduced in the U.S. shortly after. Since then, this delivery method has stood the test of time, safely and effectively supporting men and women through hormonal changes like menopause and andropause.
Unlike creams, pills, or injections that can cause hormonal spikes and dips, pellets provide a steady release of hormone into the bloodstream, 24/7, for 3–6 months.
How It Works
During a quick, in-office visit, a small pellet is placed just beneath the skin—typically in the upper outer glute—using local anesthetic. From there, the pellet slowly releases bio-identical estrogen or testosterone based on what your body needs. No daily dosing. No peaks and valleys. Just steady support.
Why Patients Love Pellet Therapy
No daily maintenance — Just 3–4 treatments per year
Consistent dosing — Avoids the rollercoaster of topical or oral methods
Bypasses digestion — Direct-to-bloodstream delivery is more efficient
Backed by decades of research — Proven to support mood, libido, cognition, bone density, and more
Mimics your body’s natural hormone rhythm — The only method that does
